What Every Developer Should Know About SQL performance

SQL performance tuning is a difficult task, especially when working with large amounts of data, where even slight changes can have a significant (positive or negative) influence on performance. Administrators or a DBA will look at performance from a different point of view than a developer. In many cases building the suggested index or analysis using some tools may not be the right answer. The problem-solving might simply require a totally different approach.

Developers should learn to use SQL the right way with performance on their mind.
